RAW MATTERS                                    SCHIKANEDER KINO I VIENNA, 2015

'Ein ungeschliffener Performanceabend'

['a raw and unpolished performance evening']

an audiovisual projector dance performance in progress

A trumpet and an analog effect chain compose the soundscape for the visual process of decay on film, projected on a human body. The celebration of the fragile transience of the current moment.

Ein Augenblick

Ein Schlag

Und Aus

Erinnerungen weggeblasen

Vergangenheit ist nicht mehr

Fetzen

durchlöcherter Identität

Bald aufgelöst

im Nichts

An instant

A hit

And over

memories blown away

The past is no more

shreds

perforated identity

Soon resolved

in nothingness

The ButohDancer is revealing the inner reality of the moment and brings it closer to the viewer's mind. Slow and strong movements fill the room while the flickering image of the projections move the shadows of the body.

Manually edited and molded film footage is used to reflect an abstract image of a transient society. From the moment of mold infestation, the aging process is accelerated and the organic decomposition spreads frame for frame over the entire film reel.

Acoustic sounds pave it`s way through electronic circuits and spreads acoustically across the space.

Eingesperrt im eigenen Verfall

Ich kann es sehen

Kann es spüren

ICH RUFE

ICH BIN DA!

Doch

Kein Laut dringt hinaus

Alles erstickt im Vakuum des lebendigen Todes

Locked in his own decay

I can see it

Can feel it

I CALL

I'M HERE!

Yet

There is no sound

Everything stifles in the vacuum of the living death
